Ms. Hamant also practices family and employment-based immigration, enforcement of judgments.

Ms. Hamant obtained a $130,000 jury verdict in a federal civil rights case for an orchid vendor at a farmer’s market owned and managed by a municipal government.

Ms. Hamant has prevailed over numerous motions for summary adjudication on the duty to defend and claims under Crawford v. Weather Shield Mfg., Inc. (2008) 44 Cal.4th 541.

Ms. Hamant obtained a vexatious litigant order effectively dismissing suit against her client.

Ms. Hamant contributed to legal research on attorney’s fees under Code of Civil Procedure section 1717 in Santisas v. Goodwin (1998) 17 Cal.4th 599.

Ms. Hamant obtained asylum for many ethnic Chinese in Indonesia and Chinese nationals who were followers of Falun Gong.

Ms. Hamant is a founding member of the Vietnamese American Bar Association of Northern California. She is also a founding organizer of the inaugural National Conference of Vietnamese American Attorneys in 2006. In 2009, she received a Rising Star Award from the Minority Bar Coalition.
