Ms. Royes is a graduate of Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, and received her undergraduate degree in Human Biology from the University of California, San Diego. Throughout law school, Ms. Royes was drawn to and focused on intellectual property, taking every opportunity to diversify her knowledge in the field. Of note, Ms. Royes served on a U.S. panel at the Annual Sino-U.S. Intellectual Property Mock Trial in Beijing, China, a comparative IP mock trial demonstrating the difference between U.S. and foreign IP law, where she advised her international colleagues on U.S. regulations and policies. Ms. Royes also gained practical transactional experience while working for international corporations such as Sony Interactive Entertainment, and NBCUniversal Media as a legal intern.
Ms. Royes is a Los Angeles native, born and raised, and enjoys hiking, foraging, and working with animals, but especially horses. Though California remains her home base, she loves to travel all over the world, and is always planning her next grand adventure.
