Bryan Kurtz is a civil litigator based in San Francisco. Following his admission to the California Bar in 2019, Bryan has represented plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of practice areas in state and federal courts. His experience ranges from representing the nation’s second-largest Job Corps operator in a class-action ERISA lawsuit to prosecuting an intellectual property case on behalf of an individual plaintiff against a fashion crowdsourcing company. Whether negotiating resolutions or taking matters to trial, if needed, Bryan brings to bear both an understanding of the law and his clients’ goals to achieve results.
Bryan has been selected by Super Lawyers Magazine as a Rising Star, an accolade limited to 2.5% of the lawyers in Northern California who are age 40 and under or who have practiced 10 years or less. He has also authored two articles published in the Daily Journal.
Bryan graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City for both his bachelor’s degree in Economics and his law degree. In law school, Bryan interned at the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District and at the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission. He was a member of the UMKC Law Review and contributed to the launch of the Clear My Record expungement project.
Outside of work, Bryan enjoys playing tennis, motorcycling, and chess.
