Jennifer Holthaus represents individuals and organizations in a variety of litigation matters.
Jennifer graduated from the University of California, Davis, School of Law (Martin Luther King Jr. Hall). While in law school, she won Best Trial Advocate for both Civil and Criminal cases in Trial Skills class. Jennifer co-authored an amicus brief in the Ninth Circuit Court of appeals in United States of America v Lamar Johnson (913 F.3d 793), while in a semester-long program for the School of Law’s Aoki Center for Critical Race and Nation Studies and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She was a Certified Law Student while an extern in criminal law for Yolo County. Jennifer also participated in Consumer Rights Clinic at Legal Services of Northern California and served as a Board Member of Lambda Legal and SacLegal, Sacramento’s LGBT Bar Association.
Jennifer obtained her undergraduate degree in Latin American Studies from the University of San Francisco. Following on this interest, Jennifer has had the opportunity to live and work around the world. In college, she studied sustainable development in Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Guatemala, where she developed a fair trade project for a non-profit. Prior to law school, Jennifer volunteered for three years at an ESL teacher at Mission High School in San Francisco. She also studied in Argentina, and taught English in Cantabria, Spain.
Previously, Jennifer worked in immigration law, helping immigrants navigate the asylum process.
Jennifer was born in the Bay Area. When she doesn’t have a good book in hand, she is off hiking in a forest.
