Mr. Roycraft has handled coverage matters and litigation involving Commercial General Liability, Commercial Property, Personal Lines, Auto, Directors Officers, Professional Liability, Employment Practices and Umbrella insurance policies. He has considerable expertise in construction defect coverage. He has also handled a wide variety of civil defense litigation cases.

During his 30 years of practice, he has tried product liability and insurance bad faith cases to verdict and has argued appeals before the California Court of Appeal and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Roycraft has significant in house insurance experience. From 1989 to 2000, as claims counsel for Industrial Indemnity Company and Crum Forster Insurance, he performed coverage analyses with respect to a variety of insurance issues. He also managed coverage and bad faith litigation on a nationwide basis. In 1995, Mr. Roycraft became Managing Claims Counsel for Crum Forster Insurance. Mr. Roycraft managed the Claims Counsel department and also continued to perform coverage analyses and manage litigation.

Mr. Roycraft was Claims Counsel for AIG Domestic Claims (Chartis Claims). He performed in house coverage analyses, provided coverage training to claim professionals, and performed litigation management for AIG’s Construction Defect Claims Office on a nationwide basis.

Mr. Roycraft has given seminars and provided training on a wide variety of insurance related topics, including Insurance Fair Claims Settlement Practices Regulations, advertising injury, and construction defect coverage and litigation. Mr. Roycraft spoke at the 2006 Reinsurance Association of America meeting in Philadelphia regarding developments in construction defect litigation.
