Wesley Pratt is an experienced trial attorney who has been a prosecutor in Sonoma County, a civil attorney representing the injured, and a civil defense attorney who has defended entities and individuals.
Mr. Pratt was a partner at a well-established civil defense firm that specialized in the representation of physicians, dentists, nurses, and hospitals. His practice has extended throughout Northern California. He has defended cases in almost every county in Northern California. Many of his cases have involved complex medical issues and catastrophic injuries and/or death.
Mr. Pratt has handled multiple cases at trial. As a civil defense attorney, he obtained a unanimous jury verdict on behalf of his clients. As an attorney for the injured, he has obtained jury awards on behalf of his clients in the amounts of $1,300,000 and $2,600,000. Mr. Pratt is skilled at representing his clients at mediation in order to obtain satisfactory resolution of claims prior to the expense and rigors of trial.
Mr. Pratt has briefed and argued cases on appeal in both state and federal court.
Mr. Pratt has been admitted to practice law in California for 20 years. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Northern and the Eastern Districts of California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Pratt attended Vanderbilt University and graduated with a B.S. in English in 1989. He graduated from McGeorge School of Law in 1997. He lives in Marin County with his two sons and wife, who is also a practicing attorney and specializes in appellate law as counsel for the State of California.
